CREDENTIALS:  Sharon Hamilton earned her Certified Decorative Artist (CDA) designations from the Society of Decorative Painters in 1990.   She then successfully completed her Master Level in Floral, Still Life, and Strokework categories.  The Master of Decorative Artist (MDA) designation is earned in progressive levels based on visual and technical competency. Sharon earned her MDA in 2001.  She is published in numerous publications including PaintWorks, Craftworks, The Decorative Painter, Nihon Vogue, Paint Craft and JDPA's Decorative Painting.  She has the honor of having her work selected for exhibition at the Nihon Vogue Decorative Painting Gallery of the World in Tokyo, Japan.  In addition, she has authored eight books on decorative painting through Gretchen Cagle Publications and North Light.

TEACHING:  Sharon has taught continually at the Society of Decorative Painters National Conferences since 1990 and has taught at NET, HOOT, and MAD mini-conventions.  Sharon is a core teacher for the DecoArts' Traditions Art Schoolon-line, and a guest instructor for the the Art Apprentice On-Line (AAO) school.  She currently travel teaches in the US, Canada and Europe.  Contact Sharon at sharonhamilton@rcn.com.
